Throughout my study career with good grades, i can assure and guarantee you that these are the best practices for you to get good grades and find meaningful in studying.
Get yourself a dictionary
I know that in this internet era, everything can do through online. Yet, let me tell you actually old is gold. Flipping the pages of dictionary will make you remember the words more stronger in your memory. In addition, you will force yourself to remember it cause you don't want to have another second time to search for the word for a couple of times. That's why i am highly encouraging you to get yourself a dictionary in order to increase your volume of vocabulary. Remember also, don't skip searching the word that you don't understand, cause the word that you don't understand will appear again in the next time.
Always search the keywords
For some people, reading is not your favourite things to do. Hence i advise you to have the habit in searching the keywords. Understand the passage or the question in a short time. If you have this habit, it will help you to study in a way of high efficiency and high effectiveness. For example, " What's the number of the GDP in 2019?", so if you have the habit of searching the keywords, you would automatically to search "GDP 2019".
Study offline as much as possible
When you study, you want to be focused, which means limiting all those annoying interruptions that happen when you’re online through your mobile gadgets or pc. Switch off your Internet connection and give your brain a peace and quiet as it needs to concentrate. While you’re at it, try not to use a laptop to take notes. This may sound like strange advice, but research has shown that taking notes by hand is a much effectiveness way of learning. When you write notes by hand, your brain will absorb the meaning of what you’re writing. But when you use a laptop, you’re not processing what you’re learning as deeply as writing by your hand.
Create a study schedule
Every successful people, they have their own schedule to follow. This is because like when you schedule your time in studying, in fact you’re saying to yourself, “I’m going to focus on studying at this time, on this date, and it’s going to take this number of hours.”
Once it’s down in writing, it becomes a reality and you’re more likely to stick to it.
This might sound weird, but it’s true. In the schedule you should include in a day, what you going to achieve (how many topics, how many subjects in how many hours) in the particular day. Don't forget to reward yourself one or two free day(s) too. Even a machine need to take a break after a long period of working. So do you.
Do many exercise books.
If you don't understand the notes after reading a couple of times, don't worry, you should go and do many exercises to get some hints. Believe me, if you do more than three different exercise books for one chapter, you are going to understand it and score it. Your speed in answering the exam is relatively faster than your neighbors.
So, what you are waiting? You should start immediately to practice one of these practices before you regretting what you have missed when it come to future. Trust yourself, you can do it, just don't be lazy! Keep it up! You are doing right things!
